Jayne M. Davenport (Spinden), age 61, died unexpectedly on April 28, 2021 at New Castle, DE.
Jayne was born in Wilmington, DeE on May 3, 1959 to her parents Marie and Willliam Spinden Jr. She attended St. Helena School and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1978. Jayne was employed by the Hotel Dupont for many years.
Jayne was a loving mother, daugher, sister, cousin, Aunt and great Aunt and sister-in-law. She enjoyed her quiet walks, her pets, and spending time with family. She loved shopping for clothes that were bright, colorful, and jazzy. She was known for her honesty and great sense of humor. Her most memorable experience was her trip to Greece to visit her sister. Jayne was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
Jayne is survived by her mother, Marie Spinden, her son, Josh Davenport and siblings: Mary Lynn Trikaliotis (Kostas), Andrew (Sue), and Jennifer Brooks (Ed) and sister-in-law, Laura Spinden. Jayne was preceded in death by her father, William E. Spinden Jr., her brother, William E. Spinden III, and her sisters Susan Sentman and Kelly Lam.
A visitation will be held on Thursday May 6, 2021 from 10 – 11 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road), Wilm., DE 19803.
