Janet Elaine (Baxter) Kelley went peacefully to her heavenly home on April 21, 2021 after a short illness. Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania on August 20, 1945 to her parents John and Gertrude (Morgan) Baxter.
Janet is survived by her husband of 57 years Robert H. Kelley, her son David Scott Kelley of Wilmington, and her precious dog Charlie. She is also survived by her sisters Constance L. Steward of Elkton, MD, Deborah K. Franey (Bill) of Wilmington, DE, her brother Jeffrey W. Baxter (Lisa) of Elkton, MD and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Rebecca A. Larsen of New Castle and her brother Frederick K. Baxter of Newport.
She was a graduate of H.C. Conrad High School and the Beauty School of Wilmington. She went on to a long career in sales and customer service. Janet enjoyed sewing and crafting but most of all loved being with her family and her many beloved dogs. She will be dearly missed by all.
A private family celebration of Janet’s life will take place April 28, 2021, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Faithful Friends Animal Society 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804.
