Elizabeth “Betty” Hicken died peacefully April 3, 2021. Betty was born and raised in Kearny, NJ. She married her husband, Charles Hicken, Jr. in 1954 and spent the next few decades raising her family in Wilmington, DE. She loved puzzles, her TV, and her cat, Levi.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, Charles Hicken, Jr.; her brother, Walter Grobert; and her son-in-law, Thomas F. Ciach, Sr. She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Cadorette; her children, Gary Hicken (Maria), Linda Ciach, Donna Hicken, and David Hicken (Lorrie); her seven grandchildren; four great grand-children; and the cat, Levi.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808). Services and interment will be private.
