Gibson, Angela M.

Newark-Angela M. Gibson, age 41, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2021. She is the daughter of Anthony and Linda (Morgan) Gunzl. Angela was a homemaker and full-time caregiver of her disabled son David.

Angela enjoyed many things throughout her life like, being a mom to her two amazing children. She raved about her daughter Constance, how mature and responsible she is and how she is a wonderful mother to her grandson Dalton. Caring for her son David was a huge part of her life. She enjoyed playing games with him for hours, watching silly videos and teaching him how to become more independent. Others included, caring for her dads rose garden, cleaning and cooking with her mom, helping her brother Tony set up Christmas lights, crafting with her sister Elaine and using her own tools while helping at many jobs with her other sister and best friend Alice. Angela finally met her soul mate, her fiancé Brian Ayers. The love from him was genuine. The connection they had showed in her smiles and actions. They enjoyed a simple life and was looking forward to many things ahead of them.

Angela was always gentle and kind, personable and loved by everyone in her life. Anytime she was doing something or helping someone she always tried to put her best foot forward.

She was preceded in death by her father Anthony Gunzl. Angela is survived her daughter Constance (Stan); her son David, and grandson Dalton. She is also survived by her beloved mother Linda Gunzl; brother Anthony (Mindy); sisters Elaine (Kevin) and Alice (Seth), all of Newark, DE; half-siblings, Elaine, Anthony (Carmen), both of New York and Patrick of Smyrna. A bunch of nieces and nephews as well.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 26, from 12 to 1:30 PM at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery. Services will be held in accordance with the current health directives, wearing masks, social distancing and capacity requirements.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a fund set up for the care and needs of her disabled son David Gibson.
