Catherine ‘Cathee’ H. Wiedenmann, 88, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021 at Christiana Care Hospital following a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her children, Russell Wiedenmann (Shirlann), Robert Wiedenmann (Colleen), Richard Wiedenmann (Linda), and Karen Drake (Carson).
She was employed as a supervisor with the DuPont Company, and later, after raising children, worked as a telephone receptionist at Slocomb Co. from where she retired.
She was a long-time member of the Bear Homemakers Club as well as a member of the Newark Senior Center. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she enjoyed cruising, swimming at the Senior Center, playing the slots, cooking, and reading. To her family, she was the light of their lives and truly an inspiration to all. She was a strong, selfless person and always happy to lend an ear.
