David Joseph Ruta, age 56, passed away on January 10, 2021. He is and always will be my best friend, wonderful and outstanding husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend.
He has touched so many lives in such wonderful ways. Dave was always a dedicated and determined worker, knowledgeable and always willing to help people when needed. He worked at Sieberlich Trane Co. as a HVAC Technician for 35 loyal years of service.
Dave was an avid hunter, fisherman, off roader and ATV-er. He always took pride in his accomplishments during his free time and in life. Dave loved to travel to different places throughout the East and Gulf coast of Florida. He was always there for his children during sports and activities which he never missed out on any of it.
Dave is survived by his wife Darlene L. Ruta, his son, David J. Ruta, Jr., his daughter, Lexis D. Ruta, doggies, Ryder and Brodie, his brother, Michael W. Ruta and his fiancé, Rose Marie Lovins, his parents, Walter M. and Rita L. Ruta. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law; W. Clayton and Madeline S. Hyatt.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. Due to covid-19 restrictions, a maximum of 40 guest at a time will be allowed in the building, mask and social distance are required. At Dave’s request, if you have a pick-up truck please drive it in the procession. Burial will be in New London Presbyterian Cemetery.
