Jean Marie Hopkins Janulewicz, 94, Delaware died Friday, November 20, 2020 at Cadia Nursing Home in Dover, Delaware. Jean was born in Easton, Pennsylvania but spent most of her adult life in Wilmington, Delaware.
Jean lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, wife and friend. She loved singing in the Zion Lutheran Church choir, completing crossword puzzles, country line dancing and reading.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl Cavanaugh and Kathy Marron, both of Newark, Delaware. She also had nine grandchildren, most of whom reside in Delaware: Ryan Cavanaugh, Megan Pettyjohn, Christopher Ash, Leslie Ransbottom, Brandon Ash, Melissa Hickman, Emily and Grant Marron, and Adam Phillips of Atlanta, Georgia, plus five great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind two brothers, Ronald Hopkins of Millsboro, Delaware and James Hopkins of Magnolia, Delaware.
She is predeceased by her sister, Shirley Fulton and four brothers, Irving, John, Kenneth, and Charles Hopkins.
Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name to the Lutheran Community Services In Wilmington, Delaware.
A graveside service will be held at Gracelawn Cemetery on Friday, November 27 at 11am, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Adam, who died in 1992.
