David Kenneth Dahlenburg
On August 25, 2020, Dave passed away in Wilmington, Delaware at the age of 79. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Charles E. and Elizabeth (Hagen) Dahlenburg. After serving with the U.S. Army in Korea, Dave became a skilled computer programmer and worked as a systems analyst for many years. Dave loved to talk about complex database issues he had tackled during his career, a career which took him to Mexico City for period of time and then to Florida. Dave decided to officially retire in 2018.
Dave returned to Delaware in 2019 after the passing of his beloved wife of 34 years, Melissa. Dave stayed sharp during COVID by taking on-line courses on his favorite Apple devices.
Dave is survived by his son Daniel, his first wife Kathy, his step-son Kent Allaway (Karen), and their son Connor. His sisters Mary Vinovskis (Maris) and Dorothy Dahlenburg(Thomas Stern), nephews Charles Hozza, Andy Vinovskis, John Stern and nieces Emily Stern and Maggie Stern also survive.
