Angie of Wilmington passed away on Saturday June 13, 2020 after a long progressive illness at the age of 82. She was born to the late Frank Caniglia and Lucy Rosalina Masierella. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and Goldey Beacom Business School. She met and married Robert J. Manerchia and had 5 daughters. Some of her years were spent working for DuPont as a secretary, a job she loved. She took great pride in her “girls”. Mom loved New York, Italian food, Coloring and “I Love Lucy”, watching NBA basketball and really enjoyed watching her Los Angeles Lakers baskeetball games.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her brother, Frank (Dick) Caniglia and her sister-in-law, Pauline McDonald. Angela is survived by her five daughters, Donna Sadowski (Anthony), Teresa Brainard (James), Paula (late William Kane), Cathy (late Bill Smith) and Johanna Woodruff (Raymond); grandchildren, Tony R., Lauren, Jimmy, Gina, Samantha, Kait, Mandy, Billy, Ashlee, Collin and Jakob; great-grandchildren, Christina, Evan, Ella, Angelina, Julia, Noah, Parker, Ava, Adrianna, C.J., Gianna, Bryan and Emily. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews.
