Walter George Sinclair, 85, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Walt, as he was affectionately called by his loved ones, was the son of the late May and George Sinclair of Philadelphia. He served in the US Army from 1956-1959 and was employed as a car inspector with CSX for approximately 30 years.
Walt is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol, his grandson Danny (Sharon) Sinclair, his great grandchildren Daniel and Lilly, his step-children Randy (Barb) Gehron, Debbie (Frank) Zmierski, Donna (Mark) Haas, 10 step-grandchildren and numerous step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Joanne and his granddaughter Stacy.
Walt enjoyed spending time at the beach, gardening and country line dancing. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and had a zest for living life to the fullest.
A celebration of Walt’s life will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803, on Monday, December 16, where friends may call at 10:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Association of Delaware, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
