Clark, Catherine T.

Catherine (Kitty) Therese Clark, Nee White. 85, passed away peacefully at home on November 25, 2019.

Kitty was the loving wife of Donald (Don) Francis Clark for 39 years until his passing in 1995. She is survived by her four children Donald (Don) Clark, Catherine (Kitty) Clark Dombroski, Virginia Clark Kubik, and Winn Clark and her partner Ted Ross as well as four grandchildren Jay Dombroski, William (Billy) Dombroski, Addison Kubik and Fletcher Kubik, along with her sister Winnie White Mullin. Her sister Margaret (Peggy) White Leary passed away in 1995.

Kitty was born in 1934 in Philadelphia. She graduated from The Academy of Notre Dame du Namur, Chestnut Hill College where she received a BA in Education and Widener University where she received a Masters of Education.

Kitty raised her family in Ridley Park (PA) where she was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Church, and a volunteer with cheerleading and girl scouts. She enjoyed the friendship of a wide circle friends. She also worked as a High School teacher. Later Kitty and her husband Don lived in Boynton Beach, Florida where she worked as a Pre-K teacher. While in Florida she enjoyed the warm weather, playing bridge and the support of dear friends. Throughout her life Kitty was an avid reader who enjoyed animated conversations. She was known for her thick red hair and her love of chocolate, cheesecake and the joy of shopping.

For the past six years Kitty lived in Wilmington Delaware with her daughter Kitty and enjoyed her constant care as well as the support of her grandsons Jay (and his girlfriend Gretchen Medrow) and Billy along with the companionship of three dogs, Laila, Sasha and Rosie. Until the end, Kitty enjoyed visits from her children, her sister Winnie, nieces and nephews, friends and caregiver.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 3rd at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road in Wilmington, DE. The visitation begins at 10am with the Mass to follow at 11am. Kitty will be laid to rest alongside her husband Don at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery , 10941 Southern Boulevard, Royal Palm Beach FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Association.
