Henriette Eisink Francke (Hetty) of the world, died September 26, 2019, at the age of 79 in Wilmington, Delaware.
Hetty grew up in Arnhem, the Netherlands. She graduated as a physical therapist in Amsterdam. She married Christiaan Johannes Francke (Hans), a chemical engineer from Delft, before moving to the United States in 1968. Promoting human rights was a lifetime commitment; she actively supported UNICEF, UU-UNO and like-minded organizations. She combined her concern for the environment and passion for educating children by conducting soil science programs in Delaware schools. The most rewarding challenge in her life was raising her two children.
She is survived by her husband Hans, her sisters Joke and Ineke, her son Hendrik-Jan and his wife Laura, her daughter Marcelle and her husband Seth, her grandchildren Kieran, Annika, Ria, and Mikki.
