Beloved husband and father James Beaumont passed away surrounded by family and friends on September 2, 2019 after his courageous, two-year battle with cancer. He was 52 years old.
Jim was born in Browntown, Wilmington on October 8, 1966 to MaryAnn (Dobrznski) and James Beaumont. He grew up in Browntown, attending Richardson Park Elementary School and Conrad Middle School. He graduated from Howard High School in 1984.
He was an iron worker for many years and worked in the maintenance department at St. George’s Vocational High School for nine years.
He loved music and attending concerts, his favorite group being Phish. He liked to fish and travel and watching football, especially the Washington Redskins.
Jim loved spending time with his family, and his many childhood friends from Browntown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 25 years Pamela; his daughter Ashley; son Tyler; sisters Debbie and Sandy Smallwood; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Friday, September 6 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, 19808. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. with services from 6 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for participation in Jim’s memory in the upcoming National Brain Tumor Society Walk in November.
