Claymont- Patricia “Patsy” “Pat” Ann Iverson, age 79, passed away, with loved ones by her side on Wednesday, August 7, 2019. She was born on January 1, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Leedom Estates/Ridley Park to the late Ann F. (Tolmie) and William V. Lougheed, where she was the oldest of 9 children.

Pat graduated from Ridley High in 1958, where she met her lifelong friend Doris Davison at age 13. In her youth, she loved to roller skate and would make her own outfits to go skating in. For the last 44 years, she has lived in Claymont, DE.

Pat loved working with the public and especially enjoyed working at the old candle store in Booth’s Corners. She was very disappointed when she had to stop working there after her stroke. Especially that she was very social and loved talking to everyone she meet.

Pat enjoyed listening to music and loved especially Roy Orbison and having her “coffee girls” down every week for their weekly gossip session. She is going to be massively missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Pat’s name to Arthitis Foundation, DE Chapter 1019 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904 or American Stroke Foundation, 6405 Metcalf Ave, Ste 214, Overland Park, KS 66202 or a charity of your choice.

Her husband of 25 years, William Iverson, Jr. died in 1998. Pat is survived by her 4 children, Denise (Eric) Houser, Jeannette (Andy) Eachus, Michael (Su) Iverson and Judith Iverson; 8 grandchildren who she loved and was so proud of William, Patricia and Denise Eachus, Zachary and Jacob Iverson and Catilynn, Cody and Kyle Houser; 4 great grandchildren, Arianna, Ryan, Chloe, and Kylee; 5 brothers, William ,Edward, Earl, Robert, John Lougheed and 2 sisters, Ann Wilson and Bev Rocheau. Pat was also preceded in death along with her parents and husband; by her sister, Judy Lougheed and great grandson Christian Eachus.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 15, at 11 am, at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pike (Talleyville) Wilmington, where friends may call after 10 am. Burial will be private.
