Barbara returned to Wilmington where she met Richard, her husband of 56 years. After marrying, she threw her energies into raising their children. Open to all neighboring children, her home was never closed. She always encouraged children to share in her love of reading.
Barbaras Calico Corners (the Mill Store) career began in 1975. She was passionate about providing her customers with the project they had envisioned. She retired after 38 years of service in 2013.
Her contagious smile, strong spirit, direct honesty, and sharp sense of humor will be missed by many!
