Kathleen Carr Marshall, age 49, an attorney and Wilmington resident for 30 years, and daughter of James Marshall of Barrington Rhode Island and the late Kathleen Marshall, died May 27, 2019.
Kathleen attended Providence College for two years, before transferring to Catholic University graduating summa cum laude in 1993 and was the recipient that year of the Pi Gamma International Social Science Award. Kathleen received her law degree from George Washington School of Law in 1997. She also spent a year abroad at Oxford University, Black Friars College in Oxford, England and was a member of the Oxford Union Society.
Kathleen was a member of the Delaware and Pennsylvania bar. She had worked for Pachulski, Stang, Ziehl, and Jones. More recently, she had been a volunteer in the Office of Child Advocacy (OCA), the Delaware Volunteer Legal Service(DVLS), and the Public Defenders Office (PDO).
She was born in Washington, DC, but lived in Reston, Virginia until she came to Wilmington. Besides her father, she is also survived by her loving Step Mother, Lila Marshall of Barrington Rhode Island, her sister Mary Elizabeth Page, brother in law Jason Page, two nephews, Marshall and Jackson Page, and two nieces, Catherine and Helen Marie Page of Pleasant Valley, New York. Her mother, Kathleen (Seibert) Marshall died in 1988.
Kathleen was active in St. Stephens Lutheran Church and a volunteer in the Churchs food pantry.
A memorial service will be held at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 1301 N. Broom Street Wilmington, DE 19806 at 5:30 pm on Friday, June 14th. Also, another memorial service will be held at the Carmelite Monastery, 25 Watson Street Barrington, Rhode Island at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 21st.
