Helen Louise Keifer (Dalziel), 78, of Wilmington, DE passed away on April 4, 2019.
Helen was born in Walnut, Illinois and attended Walnut Schools and graduated from Princeton High School. After high school she moved to Chicago and worked for an airline. Through mutual friends, she met Joseph Keifer, who was stationed there in the Army. They were happily married for 45 years. After being married for several years they moved to Delaware. Over the years, Helen worked at several different jobs: Beneficial Bank, Fat Daddy’s restaurant, and Clover. Her last job was at the jewelry counter at Kohl’s, where she loved helping customers find special pieces of jewelry. Helen loved animals, traveling, and especially loved to read. She was a member of IHM parish.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, William; her sister, Norma Griesmer; and her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her son, Joseph, and daughter, Linda, both of Wilmington, DE. She is also survived by her sisters, Karen Dalziel and Connie Reglin; and her brother, Robert Dalziel, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Sunday April 14th from 4 to 6 pm at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOME 3924 Concord Pike. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 15th at 12pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church 4701 Weldin Road, Liftwood, Wilm. DE 19803. Interment to follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
