Michael J. Rendle, 58, passed away suddenly on January 7. He was a graduate of St. Helenas Catholic School and Mt. Pleasant High School. He earned an A.S. degree from Delaware Technical and Community College and his Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Delaware State College. Michael worked as a ship-fitter, a social-worker and luxury ship-builder. His family was a point of pride and great enjoyment for him. He had a second family in the Wilmington Mens and Wilmington Colts Rugby Clubs.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Anne Rendle, and is survived by his brothers, Albert (Betty), John (Ellen), Scott (Donna); his nieces, Jennifer Franks, Amy Emerson and Evelyn Rendle; nephews, Michael and James Rendle; and eight grand-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Michael will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 14 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803). Friends may call beginning at 9:00 AM.
