Rick Harra, Owner/President - EMAIL
Rick, a lifelong resident of Delaware, is a graduate of Brandywine High School, the University of Delaware's College of Business and Economics and Catonsville (MD) Community College's Department of Mortuary Science. Rick started his career at McCrery Funeral Homes in 1978, ultimately purchasing the business from Jay McCrery in 2008 and changing the name to McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes and Crematory in 2011. He has served on the Boards of: The Friends of Rockwood, The Cancer Support Community (formerly The Wellness Community), The University & Whist Club and the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club. Rick was twice appointed by Gov. Thomas R. Carper as a professional member of the State of Delaware's Board of Funeral Services. He is a member of St. David's Episcopal Church and was elected at the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware's 227th annual convention to the Standing Committee of the Diocese.
Todd Harra - EMAIL
Todd has been with McCrery & Harra since 2004. He is a graduate of Unionville High School and Elon University. Todd graduated with honors from the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service. He is a member of the Mu Sigma Alpha Mortuary Honors Society, and the recipient of the Dr. John McAllister Memorial Award.
Todd appeared on the cover of the 2008 "Men of Mortuaries" Calendar, a fundraiser for the KAMM Cares breast cancer foundation. He is a the president-elect of the Brandywine Hundred Rotary Club and president of the Devon Civic Association. Todd also serves on the board of directors for the Marshallton United Methodist School. He resides in Wilmington with his wife and daughter.
Ron Mulhern - EMAIL
A native of Wilmington, DE, Ron is a graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School and the American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in N.Y.C. He has been employed with McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes and Crematory since 1971.
Bill Mullin - EMAIL
Bill Mullin is a longtime employee of McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes and Crematory.
Nick Picollelli - EMAIL
Nick is a 1977 graduate of Salesianum School. He is also a graduate of the University of Delaware and Catonsville Mortuary College. He has been a Funeral Director with McCrery & Harra's for over 25 years and is licensed in Delaware and Maryland. Nick is married with two children. He is a member of Holy Angels R. C. Church where he serves as an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist. He is also a member of Holy Angles Knights of Columbus, Council 12104
Nicholas Paulson - EMAIL
Nicholas Paulson, raised in Claymont, DE and is a member of Holy Rosary Church and a graduate of the former elementary school. He graduated from Salesianum School in 1981 and graduated from Miami-Dade Community College with an Associate Degree in Funeral Service Education. He has been employed at McCrery & Harra's since 1989. He is a licensed funeral director in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Nicholas and his wife Eileen were active in the former sports programs at Holy Rosary Parish, Ashbourne Swim Club and The McAleer School of Irish Dance.
Even after his children have grown, he still volunteers at the North Brandywine Swim League's Championships at Ashbourne where he was instrumental in the NBSL Preliminary/Championships being held at the pool since 1997. He is active with The Broesler School of Irish Dance (locations in DE, NJ & NY) as their sound man/roadie for many of their performances and the Irish Culture Club of Delaware’s Irish Festival(Delaware Feis). His wife is a school nurse for the Christiana School District. He has two children, Kathleen, a graduate of St. Marks HS and Neumann University and Nicholas, who graduated from Salesianum School also and is now attending the University of Delaware.
Jeffrey Clark - EMAIL
Born and raised in Wilmington, Jeff joined the staff of McCrery and Harra in May 2006. After two years of college he enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1970. After Boot Camp and Class "A" School he was ordered to Bethesda Naval Hospital where he worked in the Pathology Department. He transferred to the USS FORRESTAL (CV 59) as an Administrative Petty Officer.
In April 1978, he transferred to the Naval Regional Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA as the Leading Petty Officer of the Dental Service. After his tour at the hospital he reported to the USS LEXINGTON (AVT 16), where he was selected as the LEXINGTON'S Sailor of the Year and was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in February 1984.
He was then sent to the Inspector-Instructor Staff of the 14th Medical/Dental Company in Philadelphia, PA. As the first Navy inspector-instructor at the Marine facility, he designed the training platform and criteria for evaluating the operational readiness of the enlisted Navy personnel. He was advanced to Senior Chief 1986.
He then attended the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, RI and after completing the curriculum was sent to the National Naval Medical Center, National Naval Dental Center, Bethesda, MD as the Senior Enlisted Advisor. He was advanced to Master Chief in May of 1990 and was selected as the Command Master Chief. He worked directly for the Commanding Officer and was responsible for the training and readiness of all enlisted personnel at the Command. He was also responsible for their deployment in support of Operation Desert Storm.
Jeff holds a Master's Degree in Hospital Administration and resides in Wilmington, DE.
Anne Rowan, Advanced Planning Consultant - EMAIL
Anne M. Rowan is an experienced counselor of over 25 years who works with families in the area of advanced planning for final arrangements. She gives seminars for a wide variety of community organizations.
Ms. Rowan has a Bachelor of Arts in French from Chestnut Hill College and a Master's Degree in Counseling from Seattle University. For 5 years she was a chaplain at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lancaster and began her career in funeral service at the Groff Funeral Home there. She had been at the Oliver H. Bair Funeral Homes in Philadelphia for over 14 years and came to Wilmington in 1995 where she was employed by Funeral Services of DE until January, 2005. She continues her valuable service at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes and Crematory.
Kyle Greenamoyer - EMAIL
A graduate from Delaware Military Academy, class of 2007, Kyle is a lifelong resident of Wilmington. He currently is attending the American Academy of McAllister Institute of Funeral Service.
Michele Stecklair - EMAIL
A full time mom and part time accountant, Michele has been at McCrery & Harra's since 2005. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and has a Master of Science in Taxation from Widener University. She lives in West Chester and has been married for 18 years. She and her husband have 2 sons and 2 cats.
