Jean Ray Smith, age 92, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away Monday May 6, 2024 at home.
Jean attended Richardson Park and Henry C. Conrad High School where she graduated in 1949. She spent her career as a secretary. Jean also took great pride in Elsmere Presbyterian Church where she attended for many years. In her free time Jean loved sewing, cross stitch, crafts, painting and baking.
Jean is predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. Smith, Jr.; parents, Robert R. and Mabel F. Wyatt; and sister, Betty Lou Wyatt.
Jean is survived by her children, Robin McIntyre (Mac) Wilmington, DE., Thomas R. Smith (Susan) Dover, DE., Rae L. Kitchens (Tim) Bear DE.; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Jean will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday May 10, 2024 at Elsmere Presbyterian Church, 606 New Rd, Wilmington DE. 19805. Friends and family may call from 10-11:00 am. The burial will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park directly following the service.
